And yet they can never bring themselves against a party that actively runs against the notion of live and let live.

The bolded is untrue. There was no vocal non-voter bloc during Obama vs. McCain in 2008.

People act like they get to just live in a separate reality from politics. That's not how it works, there will always be people in charge doing things and whether directly or indirectly a lot of the things they do will impact you. So yes, instead of whining about motivations or whatever, just vote for the outcomes you want, because "no outcomes" is not a thing.

I think there are people who are relatively isolated from the impacts of politics (at least at the national level, because local politics can have a big impact and things like global conditions have more impact on the economy than most of the policies that get passed).

That being said, it's only valid if you're willing to be like "I literally don't care about any marginalized group or anyone in worse economic situations than me", so like yeah even if that situation you're kind of an asshole.

Republicans: we would like to give you fascism and unbreathable air

Democrats: we want to give you not fascism and free glasses and lower insulin prices and also breathable air clean water and feed your kids for free.

It doesn't matter however as 2020 showed we don't need non voters. We kicked the GOP ass without them than did it some more leading up to 2024. We will kick them again.

Your non vote protest is useless. You will never encourage change you just want to feel moraly better than people who go out and vote for a better tomrow.

Well sure, dey dont care about us, as in no one cares about people dey dont know. But in another sense dey(esp. da Christian ones) should care about every American. After all, Jesus said to love your neighbor.
