Twitter is currently running closed beta test for its X Write composer where you'll be able to write longform Notes (2,500 words limit). Just hope it'll roll out soon. https://help.twitter.com/en/using-x/notes Btw before Twitter rolled out its API change in early 2023, there were free services that would allow you to do exactly what you want: (1) https://www.twitlonger.com/ (2) https://talltweets.com/ The API change pretty much killed them. You can thank Musk for that. ... Copied to Clipboard!

TimeCrisis posted... I still see people doing long tweets today so there must be something Can you give me some examples? Is it a single, long tweet with 'show more' button on it? If yes then you gotta pay. https://www.theverge.com/2023/2/8/23591472/twitter-blue-subscribers-longer-tweets-4000-characters Twitter has launched a longer tweet feature, giving Blue subscribers in the US the ability to post up to 4,000 characters at once. If someone you follow uses the feature, the tweet in your timeline will have a show more button to keep it from taking up your entire screen. 3rd party free posting services are pretty much dead after API change. You can try the old trick for FAQ writing here. Resize your text editor to exactly 280-chars wide and turn off word wrap then write several tweets at once (1 tweet per line). ... Copied to Clipboard!

@TimeCrisis posted... https://x.com/jauwnio/status/1758294173248114955?s=46 Ah I see. That jauwnio guy used thread. It's a built-in function, you won't need a 3rd party tool for that. Do you see the text [ 1/ ] circled below? That marks a thread. https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/f/fa8b0c16.jpg https://business.twitter.com/en/blog/twitter-101-writing-a-thread.html One of the innovations that have come from experimentation is how to signal a thread of Tweets. Currently, when you see the 1/, that signals that there are more Tweets to follow on this same topic. A thread is a series of tweet linked together basically. There's no limit to a number of tweets in a single thread (there used to be a limit). Click any tweet in the thread and you can read the whole thread. Each tweet in a thread can have its own pic, vid, poll and whathaveyou. Plus you can schedule your posts or even link a thread to another thread iirc. To make a thread: (1) Write your first tweet. (2) Don't click Tweet, click the + (plus) button instead. (3) Write your second tweet in a new message box. (4) Click the + (plus) button for your third tweet. (5) Repeat for the whole thread. (6) Click Tweet All to post all tweets at once. You don't have to finish your thread in one go. Post a few tweets first, come back later and then find the last tweet in your thread. You should find the option to continue you thread there. Btw I wrote this post from memory (except that Twitter help lol) so please google for more info TC. ... Copied to Clipboard!
