False equivalence. They are not equally bad or equally capable. Haley is not a criminal and has not engaged in domestic terrorism, nor does she seem interested in it. Her softness on it one thing but actually taking part is another.

If emotionally invested in the subject this is where I'd start yelling that you're a "both sider", but thankfully I have rational levels of restraint.

Down ballot primaries are a good point. I was posting with a person single-mindedly against Trump, MAGA, and fascism in mind, but it's true that there are other elections besides the presidential one that someone may want to vote in the primary of.

Ah yes, id LOVE to have a president who cant answer the cause of the fucking civil war. Get outta here with this bullshit. Shes literally said shes gonna pardon trump, which makes her complicit at best.

It doesn't change anything since I don't like the current nominees anyway.

Other people would be incredibly mad. But it's not anything I'd be personally concerned with. I already don't view the primary process as particularly fair, especially with the DNC brazenly pushing establishment-friendly states like South Carolina up to earlier in the voting schedule.

To answer the topic question: because less than half of states have open primaries, and switching your party affiliation to vote for Haley while forsaking the down ballot candidates you support in your actual political party isn't a good idea.
