Every year on or around the super bowl, republicans and religious conservatives find an endless list of things to complain and shriek about.

I'm not a sports guy, but I'm not totally clueless about them either... seems like at this point you may as well be vegans at a steakhouse - I don't think this thing is meant for you if it makes you sound like a fucking idiot each year when you complain about black women in half-time shows, or commercials having too many black/queer/disabled people, or dumb conspiracies about pop stars, or woke Jesus ads that are actually funded by Christian nationalists...

Find something that you like and can hyper criticize for not meeting the arbitrary standards in a book you haven't read, or supporting politics that don't align with your radical failed far-right ideology without annoying the rest of us every year and making America look like a nation of fucking morons.

Wasnt this a record breaking viewership Superbowl? And not just the most watched SB, but the most watched thing ever?

So for all their hemming and hawing about the evils of Tay Tay and Mr. Pfizer and the woke liberal mind virus destroying their precious game they still showed up in droves to watch the fucking thing.

Just dumbfucks being dumbfucks. Conservatives crying about something, declaring theyre boycotting it, only for it to backfire spectacularly as nobody actually follows through is par for the course for these people. Might as well say water is wet and days end in y etc etc.

Conservatives want everything to be about them and for them. They don't give a fuck about anyone else. If they did, they wouldn't be conservatives.

There's nothing truly profound in the Bible.

Not only that, but every "good" thing is found in secular morality, but secular morality doesn't have the baggage - stuff like insisting you hate gay people but we'll look the other way if you wear a cotton/poly blend... even though God gets way more specific about which cloth you can't wear over when grown adults decide to do that costs you an eternity of torture and suffering.

Secular morality doesn't have to fight with ridiculousness from antiquity because our entire morality isn't from a collection of old scrolls and writings, and we cannot question it, only re-interpret it!

They have whined and moans for years in the comic book community. Someone actually created a new conservative super hero universe with crowd funding. But I think only 1 issue has come out so far. I heard fox news had the creator on

Was the central character called 'Bootstraps Man', saving people by getting them to take personal responsibility for their situation, rather than a handout from a superhero?

(Unless they were wealthy, obviously).

I don't know. I read some of the background lore back when it first came out but I don't really remember anything now.

I'd say this can't be real, but with the amount of money sloshing around the right wing billionaire ghoulscape, it would be stupid not to cash in...

That is so heavy handed, on point, lacking subtlety, and downright uninteresting sounding, it is likely true - and it probably received more funding and private capital than every actual decent indie comic that has succeeded combined.

They so badly want control that they don't have. Everytime the half-time show had minorities in it, I always see a bunch of

"Who was this show for?"
"Worst half-time show ever."
"Why are they catering to a certain demographic?"
"The half-time show was not reflective of NFL fans."

Yet they continue watching the half-time shows every year, just to complain some more.

I'm pretty sure people who do that complain about the Superbowl specifically because it's popular and complaining about it will get them a lot of attention.

Super Bowl literally has US Airforce fighter jets flying over, military gun salutes, God Bless America song, National Anthem song -- all there to pander to conservatives.

And during the regular season, they complain about pink ribbons for breast cancer awareness or NFL charity outreach which they should do!!! The NFL sucks up our tax dollars through our educational system turning out experienced players from public schools, and all the tax cuts and stadium funding to keep teams from leaving their city on a whim.

Some mainly performative charity to help schools fund their sports programs is the absolute fucking bare minimum the NFL can do.

They can't even take the hint that nobody likes them. They don't even like each other.

Because they're entitled Karens.

They are the flakiest most precious of snowflakes. And they are proud of that too thinking it "triggers the libs", when in reality their projection and selfishness cannot be more crystal clear.
