Agreed.

The influence is insane. Luke Persona 5's entire soundtrack wouldn't exist without boomer influence.

Boomers, except keep in mind, most of what think of as Boomer music wasn't written by Boomers.
The Beatles weren't Boomers.

But Pop music from about 1960 on until the mid/ late 90's was pretty good, as things go.

boomers have great music and the music/concert culture seemed pretty dope. if this is a question of which was the best to be a part of at the time, it's probably boomers.

but for stuff i listen to today, give me millenial music (90s) easy.

As a Gen X person most of the music I grew up on and liked was made by Boomers. For that matter the classic movies I love from the 80s are all made by Boomers too. The Boomer generation gave me a ton of entertainment.

I think people often forget the generation they are in the stuff they are listening to, even current music the musicians are from generations past. For instance someone like Nirvana blew up in the early 90s and is considered a 90s band. 90s is millennial as far as when you are born but all the musicians for Nirvana are Gen X. On the older side of Gen X. Hell Krist is just months on the cusp of being a Boomer. Nirvana is a Gen X band that didnt become famous until a millennial generation. This is why the music I listed to in my Gen X time was from boomers.

Millenials weren't making music in the 90s, really.

I voted Gen X because more so than the boomers, they made the punk in the 80s and 90s I like.

it depends on my mood, but more recently, I tend to prefer Gen X/millennial music more.

sometimes Gen Z, when it comes to afrobeats or dancehall.

Went with Gen X but I was going on the age of the fanbase more than the musicians (though a lot of bands I really liked growing up were obviously Gen X). Once they got past their KISS lunchbox phase, they were the ones getting behind popular music showing an authenticity that was lacking for so long.
