All the Trump supporters at work started swearing and saying the election was rigged after he lost in 2020. They denied the Capital riots happened. Saying COVID is a myth and refused to take the vaccine.

Well, I'm Canadian so i dont tend to really deal with them that often but i have seen a few MAGA hat wearing tourists over the years and... they are for the most part normal until you trigger them with something, That something could be anything, it really depends on the Trumper it could be a pride flag pin, anything that says BLM, a mask, being a visible minority, not being Christian, believing in Vaccines... And then they flip into crazy mode and tend to become kinda unhinged, racist, Bigoted and really just someone most people would rather not be around

Yeah that's the key, stay away from politics or they go off the deep end.

The problem (for me) is that even if you think what you're talking about is safe, they find a way to steer the conversation to wherever they want because they can't wait to recite what they heard on Fox/Newsmax last night.

What you see is what you get.

Carrol O'Connor was very liberal (the scene where Sammy Davis Jr kisses Archie was in fact Carrol's idea).

Extremely hardheaded and stupid, and totally unwilling to change their outlook on things no matter the evidence provided. Not all of them are going to be evil psychos though. I know one who's making goodie bags for the homeless in all her free time at work. Unfortunately she also thinks that sexuality is a choice, so we should shun homosexuals, and Israel can do no wrong because they're God's people. Like that time the IDF shot the three escaped hostages, she tried to deny that. She said that some other news source said that never happened, and asked who I was going to listen to, that one "source" (that she never provided me with lol), or the world news.

I think if she could just stop taking the bible so literally and do a little thinking for herself (since she's letting anyone tell her what to do/think as long as they claim to be talking about Christianity), she would be a much better person overall.

In a word? Deplorable.

I was working at a liquor store in a shitty TN town for a year and our Corona beer sales went way down during the virus, people honestly believed it caused the virus.

The lot of them are complete hypocrites and will lie to your face just so they don't have to say they were wrong. Those lies are usually full of "alternate facts" that actually have no real basis. They don't care even if they know it's false, it fits their agenda and get enough people crying in a group of morons and these things catch on fast.

I've heard 60 year old men in this town casually drop the N word in public conversation and no one really bats an eye over it.

Never seen that one but All In The Family is a liberal show in general. It wouldn't fly today because of no-no words, etc. but the character of Archie was always clearly meant to demonstrate the folly of the fuddy duddy who can't get with the times

I find it hard to talk to them at all because almost regardless of how far away the thing you're talking about is from LGBT/Jews/"woke"/immigration/Biden/Taylor Swift/Disney/whatever thing of the day they are obsessed with is, they will find a way to get that into the conversation anyway. The worst among them need to be outraged in order to function, and I couldn't think of anything more exhausting.

Think about the conservatives from wherever you live. Now picture them but at least slightly dumber and a lot fatter.

Ive never had that conversation problem with my coworker even though she watches Fox and thinks Rumble is the only video site that isnt afraid to tell the truth.

They have an OBSESSION with thinking Biden literally opened the borders and is letting everyone in, all while hes turned more away than Trump. Its a hill they will die on no matter what.

You remember that kid in fifth grade who told you his uncle worked for Nintendo and he found out you get Mew in Red/Blue by using Strength on the truck by the S.S. Anne?

Imagine an adult who believed that so sincerely that they shaped their entire identity around it. They'll fight for it. They'll kill for it. They earnestly wish to start a full-blown civil war in order to eradicate everyone who says Mew isn't under the truck.

That's what the average Trump supporter is like.

Reminds me of this stand-up comedian I heard once:

I have a couple of family members that are Trumpers and are just as stupid and ignorant as hateful as you'd expect, but they do at least still have other things going on in their lives.

There's another one that's into QAnon and the person he was has ceased to exist. Conspiracy theories and right wing shitbaggery are his entire personality now, if you can call it that. Total nutter, nobody in the family talks to him anymore.

As of last year 70% still believe the 2020 election results are fraudulent. There's no reasoning or productive discussion possible with the majority of them.

The people you see in videos aren't the "average" Republican/Trump supporter. Just like when you watch a video of people fighting at a sporting event aren't the average fan of that particular team.

Most people you meet, you don't even know what their political leanings are. More times than not, people live by the mantra "do whatever you want, just don't break the law".
