People like Elon will never fly too close to the sun. They'll be billionaires and success stories until the day they die, then their shitty little kids will take those reigns and do the same until they die and so on and so on.

Sure, but that doesn't make good TV for the most part. I mean, not every show could or should be like The Wire.

Real life doesn't need to fit into a three act narrative.

It's not disingenuous.

They are stories, with a dramatic arc. Their job is to be satisfying entertainment.

People will cry that there's no character progression and that makes the writing bad. Those people are dumb. It's just a different type of story than they're used to.
