To my great exasperation, I'm the "in the know" person among those who know me and I was asked about curry from South Korea specifically.
Conversation went something like this: Them: I want to eat South Korean curry Me: Ok we could try making it at home, are you sure you don't just want curry, why South Korean curry specifically? Them: No it has to be South Korean curry and it has to be from a Korean restaurant. Me: Ok... Anyway this is a person who never even had Korean food before afaik so I'm very confused but I look into it and the closest place to me is $20 for their curry. I was only trying to maybe order a plate and see what it's like cause I don't want them to eat it and later be like "eh I don't like it" especially if it's $20 but fam that's twice what I would ordinarily be willing to pay for premade food. However it's my birthday soon so I figure I could ask someone to treat me so I can get this bread. Or curry. Anyone have experience with Korean food, specifically curry? --- My maid will hear about this. ... Copied to Clipboard!

When I think of Korean food it isn't curry. I'll save that for Indian.

I live in Korea. No clue wtf is going on here. All the curry you find here is either Japanese or Indian. Sometimes Thai. I know Korea will go HAM with tonkatsu, but that's different. While often eaten with curry, here in Korea it's a different kind of dish

Yeah, even in South Korea. Exchange rate or not, nobody is paying anywhere close to that for "Korean Curry"
Just did a search and this is the closest thing I could find to "Korean Curry" here in Korea https://naver.me/xl1uPn0g And this is all cheap af. 19,000 won is their most expensive price and that's only like 15 USD if that. I guess what makes it Korean is the seafood? And other vegetables you don't particularly see in Indian or Japanese curries? --- Enter the baller zone: http://error1355.com/ce/Gurifisu.html ...
