Is it an ad thing so when it's embedded into like YouTube's ad cycle you can skip it while still knowing the movie name?

Like why not just start with the trailer if you're going to post it? Why state what we already know?

More or less. It's also to catch people's attention as they're scrolling past it on a Facebook feed or whatever.

It's to prevent skipping the ad on sites like YouTube or to stop people from scrolling down on sites like Twitter or Instagram

Trailers can be kinda annoying where they show a bunch of out of context scenes and you don't know wtf the movie is until the very end. I kinda prefer when they start out telling you so you can be more prepared to watch it.
