Yes, Germany was what I was planning on using as an entry point to the greater European Union Network. Ultimately I'd like to end up in Iceland, if they would have me. I'm also thinking about teaching English abroad and weighing which countries allow that as a pathway to citizenship. As stated previously, I am a poor planner.

This is true, thus is the risk of essentially living on a series of volcanoes. Maybe I can time it out so that if that is how I go, some Icelandic friends I made can make me an honorary viking as we go out in a blaze of glory.

Note: Viking culture is not an actual reason I want to emigrate there, I just find the idea amusing.

If he loses, I'm in agreement with others in saying that he's almost certainly going to spur his cultists into terrorism in another coup attempt, though whether he'll attack Congress directly again or instead opt for a more spread-out approach with several MAGA-motivated mass murders, I'm not as certain. Regardless, the GOP is now officially the Trump party, so there's no chance of them backing down now. They could potentially go all-in on supporting Trump by officially endorsing his followers' terrorism, keep quiet while they try to find a new fascist to hitch their wagons to (and it's uncertain how successful they'll be at it, considering they tried and failed with DeSantis; their voter base doesn't seem to want anyone but Trump, no matter how much like him or even worse their alternative candidates are), or fade into irrelevance if too many of the MAGA morons end up taking themselves out (via terrorist acts that end in their own deaths, despair-induced suicides, alcohol and drug overdoses, their stubborn insistence on becoming unvaccinated plague vectors, Florida becoming uninhabitable, etc.).

But I'm not at all confident about the possibility of him losing, especially with all the toadies he's got in government positions this time around.

At least, not until the GQP nominates Dark Lord Deathbringer, Devourer of the Newly-Born and Herald of Satan to be their 2028 presidential candidate on an "immediately nuke everything everywhere all over the planet the very second I am in office" platform.

W is a likable guy. His presidency sucked, was one of the worst and should be remembered as such but because Bush Jr himself seems like a decent person whose easy to get along with it was sadly very easy to redeem him.

With Trump there would be no such redemption that would have required him shutting up.

Thats the reality. Some of us have bigger things to worry about. Mouths to feed and bills to pay.

Others have 8 months to worry about something and still choose right now.

And yes, im one of the minorities that would absolutely be affected.
