I played dmc 3 for an hour and a half. I failed all my attempts at the combo that I thought of around 1-2 months ago.

i've been able to do this with a 2/2 and a 3/3 weapon set-up for a few years. Just now able to do it comfortably with a 3/4 weapon set-up.

Oh God I think either I was able to mash the controller faster 4 years ago or 3/3 set up made it that much easier + dted devil state adds speed boost.

Around 1 pm I walked my dog near a church. I saw a man come out of a truck and open his hatch. thought he was gonna take out a gun and shoot me dead. turns out he was just putting together these small signs to place them on the grass (for a food drive). damn im so paranoid sometimes lol. Another similar paranoia-inducing incident occurred to me last week and I can recall a few others over the past year or so. Started happening after I quit drinking. Overall I keep getting frightened by people driving trucks or other vehicles lately. I'm not even kidding around. Idk where else to post this and I'm not gonna make a topic for it lol. It feels nice typing this out =]

i just played dmc 3 today. still fun for me even If i'm failing at things. i don't think i'll ever put this much time into another single player game

i was wrong i can actually replicate my 2019 thing w/ a 3/4 set-up. I have to disable inertia mod though (that makes things less likely to stick). So it's the mod that makes me slower but ill still keep it on since I don't need to do shotgun raves anyways

It's a point n click adventure/ hidden object game. Played through 1 to 18 sometime last year . One of those if you've played 1 you've played them all type of games lol. Very cozy for me tho (its music + pictures make me feel at ease )

I entered a giveaway for a OSRS streamer but to get an entry into the giveaway I had to participate in a hellofresh sponsorship thing (hello fresh is not the problem here btw lol)

the giveaway was for a TBOW which is valued at 1.6 billion OSRS gp, for comparison my bank is worth like 270 million

and when it came time to draw the winning ticket, I was picked

so I was like hell yeah!!! but then the streamer mentioned that I had the option to do double or nothing and I have done double or nothing for past things i've won from said streamer

so I said fuck it let's do it and chat got hype as fuck

so what the streamer does when I redeem twitch points for double or nothing is that said streamer does a death match against another person willing to match the winnings and puts my prize I just won on the line

if streamer wins, I get two TBOWs, if streamer loses, I don't get anything

streamer finds someone willing to death match and they duke it out

the streamer fighting for me gets a FAT lead in health and actually whittles down the opponent to 2 FUCKING HP left while STILL HAVING FULL HEALTH

but then streamer keeps hitting 0 after 0 after 0 after 0

then opponent hits the streamer with a 30-to-40 something hp hit which i'm like okay that's fine......

then opponent hits streamer with a FUCKING 85HP hit

opponent, with 2 HP remaining, does not get hit for like 6 times straight then 2 shots my guy to death

I AM CRUSHEDDDDDD, chat is crushed, streamer is crushed

I was legit 2 hit points away from over 3 billion GP

owwwwwwwwwwwwwww

now if I stuck with keeping my prize I would have blown most of it on torva armor, but having 3.2 billion gp meant I could buy torva AND the best in slot gear for range + magic AND still have plenty of FUCK YOU money left over to do whatever the hell I wanted

if i were to pay for OSRS bonds that Jagex authorizes, i'd have to spend over a thousand dollars to even get the in game amount for a Tbow

if i were to pay the illegal way that would get me banned from OSRS, i'd have to pay like $310 for a Tbow

i was 2 HP away from in game winnings that would have been worth over $2000 legitimately or $600 if i were to put my account at risk by breaking rules lol

the defeat wouldn't have been so bad if I legit wasn't 2 HP away from winning when my guy was at full health lol

like if they traded blows till my guy died or my guy got blown out i'd be less in shock haha

Also. I wanted to let everyone know I beat the Sins of the Father Quest in OSRS. Vanstrom Klause was the most difficult boss I have fought in OSRS by a significant margin and I've done 130+ Quests. Luckily I got him on my second try. Went in with 12 Sharks/12 Karambwan (for 1 tick eating) with a Super Restore and Super Combat Potion as well as Bronze Knives for the Exploding Pet and an Emergency Teleport. Used the Piety and Protect from Magic prayers to give myself the best chance. Had Proselyte armour Top/Bottom for extra prayer duration as well as stuff like Helm of Neitiznot, Berserker Ring (I), Barrows Gloves, Fury Necklace, Ardougne Cloak 2, and of course the Blisterwood Flail needed to actually damage him.

Hardest parts of the fight was the Phase 1 "stare into my darkness" or whatever he says and the Phase 2 lightning. Both were difficult to dodge, particularly the former. First time I did the fight I got hit by the former 2-3 times and got hit by lightning twice and had to teleport away with Vanstrom at less than 10% of his health...so close!!! Second time I got hit by the former IIRC once and by the lightning twice and beat him with all my food used up and with less than 10 hitpoints. It was close...but I got him!

Maybe it would have been easier if I had used my Void Knight Melee setup as it has significantly better magic defense (Protect from Magic doesn't give full protection). However, I had a higher max hit with Helm of Neitiznot + Barrows Gloves and the Proselyte armour let me keep Piety + Protect from Magic up the whole fight even with just 1 Super Restore. Not really sure in retrospect which was the better option, but the non-Melee Void Knight setup worked for me. Not bad considering my Att/Str/Def were 70/74/70, which is below what a lot of other people had when they beat Vanstrom Klause.

Also, I hope this isn't the last Myreque/Vampyre quest, as it has been my favorite OSRS storyline by far. Sins of the Father came out almost 4 years ago, so I hope Jagex hasn't forgotten about the questline. After all, it kind of ended on a depressing note. Judging by what non-OSRS Runescape did, we have room for probably 2 more quests. One where Lowerniel Drakan gets taken down and another where we deal with the aftermath with Vanescula and Safalaan. That's assuming everything plays out like in Main-Runescape though. At any rate, apparently Jagex did confirm that this isn't the last quest in the storyline, so fingers crossed for now. Got plenty of other stuff to do, like finishing all the quests (about 30 to go) and getting a maxed out house to speed up skilling and bossing. Lots to do!

Yeah...the price of the Twisted Bow and Tumeken's shadow are just insane. Hopefully the price comes down at some point (maybe if the associated raids become more botted), although the Twisted Bow's price is still going up (see below), so it might just be wishful thinking...

The sins of the father osrs sounds complicated. If I ever play osrs again ill try to max and do the quests. Iirc I was 800 hours away from maxing if I go 100% efficiency on the remaining skills so more like 1600 hours away cuz I'm like half efficient. Slayer will probably take me the longest.

I havent played Carol reed mystery much tbh. Just haven't been in the mood. Today feels right tho so I will play today and try to finish.

Edit: never mind im around 400 hours away from maxing at 100% efficiency. So more like 800 hours, yes.
