'Car' is specified because I'm not fond of big rig trucks. I have tried different games like distance, synthwave burnout, neon drive, all of them terrible in their own ways. I asked about forza horizon 5 and they said it was too annoying for that. are there any decent chill car driving games on steam that are not abandoned or incomplete? I kind of liked riff racer but it ctd's sometimes.

I was going to suggest American Truck Simulator and/or Euro Truck Simulator but I suppose I'll simply take my leave

Good day and good luck on your search

Honestly, The Crew 2 might work if you like their music choices. The game's map is a truncated version of the US. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive from one side of the map to the other. Plenty of good scenery along the way.

And Forza works pretty well for that too. Not sure why people said it was too annoying. The maps are pretty spacious. I liked Forza 4's map a bit better for just driving around, but that game has different weather for each season. So every 3 weeks you have to deal with 1 week of snow for the winter season. And that's 1 week in real time.

I have heard that Assetto Corsa, despite being a racing sim, has user-made freeroam maps and astoundingly long tracks that that are great for both speed thrills and gentle cruises.

Here's a slow drive on a track / map called LA Canyons.

Sigs are rather pointless, except if it's to showcase animation and images.
