New tech: spamming Acheron's technique is faster than running, lol.

I have only been able to play around 40 minutes of the new story sonfar, but despite being a Metal Gear level of cutscenes it is VERY interesting so far.

I hear Gallager also debuffs and is good for Acheron ult but his sustain is worse than Gepard. Hmm

Gallagher has synergy, but a big part of his kit is Break buffing and Acheron has little to do with Breaking.

He seems like the designated 4* option with two debuffs, but also he doesn't seem worth using unless he's at least E2 when he gets his cleanse.

I do wonder how much of a qol Acheron's tech is for SU, considering I never pick combat rooms anyway.

Actually I think a leak did show another character design I was interested in a while back. Some kinda short red hair girl, but she feels like shes very far away

Wow this Trailblaze mission letting me test Aventurine with Acheron and now I'm soooo tempted to pull for him.

Finished the new Trailblaze mission. Mihoyo definitely did good with this one.

Aventurine is awesome--biggest surprise by far. Also really liked the stuff with Acheron and Welt. To be honest really every character that had a major role was great this time around. Definitely didn't have the random 4 star Abundance dude they threw into the patch on my radar at all...

Literally just finished myself as well.

Best one since 1.0, maybe even better than 1.0.

Also really liked the way this patch handled the different PoV's. It always felt awkward the way they handled like jumping to Dan Heng's PoV in the Luofu, but this system seems a lot smoother and better thought-out. Hope they continue with stuff like this in the future.

This was easily my favorite story the game has had so far but I also think I wasn't as high on Belobog as a lot of the fanbase. (Which I still would have put at the top prior to this)

Finished the story. I didn't particularly care about Aventurine's trip around the theme park and hanging out with Gallager. I wanna say I liked 2.0 better overall. However these moments were excellent, in order:
1. Welt with Acheron
2. Sam with Acheron and MC
3. Aventurine wth Sunday

How many Acheron-havers ended up getting her LC too? I know I said a week or so ago that it didn't look too strong, but honestly that was probably just the copium talking, and by all accounts it looks far superior to the best 4* option. I'll probably end up trying for it eventually, but in the meantime I'll persist with GNSW and see if I can find a good build for it. Even with the Pioneer and Izumo relic sets though, trying to hit 80%+ crit on a Nihility character is rough.

I went for it. GNSW is just too valuable on other units I use.

E2S1 Acheron is too good

I have an Izumo orb on Acheron that rolled 3 times into Crit rate and once into Crit damage. It's also a Fire dmg main stat orb, but hey, you take what you can get. Maybe Topaz can have it one day!

I haven't had a chance to get going on the 2.1 story yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Still just grinding relics for Acheron. Just need a decent Crit Rate chest and a decent ATK% orb and I'll call it good enough.

Should I pull for Luocha or Acheron? This is the first redo banner I've particularly considered.

Luocha is still an absolutely incredible sustain if you need one.

Acheron is much, much more fun to actually have though, lol. It doesn't get much duller than Luocha, his own turn doesn't even matter.

Fun is good, but I've got an excess of characters. The buff removal is a core perk. Otherwise I'd have to build Pela I guess.

Honestly I'm convinced Acheron might have been worth pulling for the technique alone. Actual game-changer from the quality-of-life angle.

She's also busted damage-wise, though if you need a better sustain then you need a better sustain and there's not much of a way around that.

I may just need to build my non-Bailu sustains better. Besides that, they just introduced Gallagher.

Story complete. Not as good as the 2.0 section, but still very solid.

MVP was definitely Aventurine, which I actually can't believe I'm saying. Not so much into his backstory, but just what he's up to in Penacony. That was all really good.

Do you have 0 limited sustains? If so it's a no brainer to pick any of those 4 over a DPS

I've got Fu Xuan. She doesn't remove debuffs or buffs or heal directly very fast, but I could theoretically improve her if it's possible in F2P.

2.1 story done. Really good! 2.0 was a good intro but I still felt it was mostly setup with no payoff (I just don't think the Firefly date is interesting sorry), it pays off in big ways here. And the dialogue and character writing has come a loooong way, I'm actually impressed. Loved the Aventurine/Ratio/Sunday stuff, just three guys who suck having a miserable time.

(patch ending spoilers) CRAZY amount of twists in the epilogue, did not see the Gallagher thing (or Sunday's "death") coming at all. The factions are cool and another one showing up is a fun surprise. And I'm SO glad to have the Firefly = Sam thing out in the open considering how long ago that leaked. Finally I have no idea what else is coming.

Personally I like having a limited healer/cleanser (I have Huohuo) because its a huge headache preventer against some bosses, but if you have high Eidolon Lynx or use Bronya a lot or something, probably not strictly necessary.

But also as F2P I'm still looking to pick up a second limited sustain before any more DPS

I think Ive got my Acheron at an acceptable point now. Crit rate is a tad low at 67%, and her speed is kind of awkward at 116, but its going to have to be good enough until I get extremely lucky with relics.

Don't forget you'll be getting Crit rate in battle from both her relics and Planars if you're using the right ones, too. 12% from the Planar and another 4% after using her skill for the first time from the 4 piece.

And an automatic 18% at E1, but most of us won't have that.

Yeah, thats true, but I think you still want to be closer to 80% before those so youre hitting close to 100% after the relic/planar boost.

If you have E0 Acheron you would need 82% CR to have a 100% CR in battle, at E1 it's 64% CR. Notably, that 18% CR from E1 is mid attack only and never shows up on her character sheet, but it's there.

I just have Acheron with Salsotto and no other set bonuses. 77/178 Crit. More than fine while I'm still grinding traces. And will probably grind for my Preservation unit before even focusing on the new planars or pioneer.

Got jumpscared doing SU9 for the first time by the Herta eidolon I forgot we were getting. Now she's E6. Hell yeah. Still hard to believe she's the F2P PF queen.

She even has a new BiS Planar with that second new set I forget the name of!

Ha. Prior to this patch I was struggling with the MoC that's ending this weekend. Now (E2S1) Acheron at maybe like 75% build progress just allows me to smash it. I did have a hard time hitting weaknesses for stage 12 before this also, but it's still weird to go from struggling to 3-star to getting 9 cycles with what felt like an unimpressive run.

(Side 1: Lynx/Ruan Mei/Pela/Acheron, Side 2: Fu Xuan/Sparkle/Silver Wolf/Qingque)

In fairness if an E2S1 5* didn't let you smash endgame content, the game would have major issues lol

First team comp is a little wacky but it goes so hard with this cycle's trotter buff. Black Swan takes care of Ratio's debuff needs and then explodes enemies just by existing while Bronya feeds the doctor turns.

I mean I'd argue that if spending money on a game trivializes the difficulty then that's disincentivizing me from spending money on the game. Not that's it's quite trivialized at this point but I guess I just don't agree with that in general. Other players probably do look at this differently than I do.

(I also did not spend money, which makes my point stronger if anything, but probably doesn't matter)

Yeah I get it but it is an uncommon mindset. Though I occasionally see people regret over investing and making things too easy. I just meant, stuff is designed to be able to be done at E0S0 but E2 and S1 are large power boosts over that. If there wasn't a good reward for investing your money or F2P gems, players would riot.

Though I don't think E2S1 is large enough to trivialize content generally. That's E6.
