The PSP version of FFT is marred by slowdowns when ever you perform an action.

Tactics Ogre LUCT is the better game imo, but if you could play Tactics Ogre Reborn, Id definitely go with that. Its not perfect, but its definitely the best game.

Play both. 10 battles or so then switch.

Tactics Ogre. It has way more content to offer.

For PS1, I would say FFT by a lot. TO gameplay was really annoying with how you need to level as certain classes for stat growths. It's really easy to play the game and find yourself super weak or with no accuracy or speed because you didn't level up as a class with the stat growth you need for the class you actually want to be unless you refer to a guide. I did hear the PSP made a lot of gameplay improvements though, so it's probably fine. Also the TO soundtrack is sick. Probably my top game soundtrack of all time.

So yeah, play both but I lean to FFT.

I'd just try both for several battles and see what catches your fancy. I've heard that the new Reborn version of Tactics Ogre fixes some problems from the PSP version but than creates a litany of new ones. I was always in the camp of Tactics Ogre is the better game, but at this point I pretty much want to say fuck it and just go play Final Fantasy Tactics. It's fun to mess around with the jobs and there are only a couple versions of it anyway.

if you've never played either, FFT
if it's a story run, FFT
if it's a run to try different classes and ways to break the gameplay, FFT
if you've beaten both, but haven't done multiple choices in TO, then TO

Tactics Ogre has an absurd amount of content, if thats something youre looking for.

Not all of it is fun content, but theres definitely a ton of it

So, you have the capability to play both?

Play both, dammit! I poured an ungodly amount of hours into each, and wish I could do so for the first time again.

Tactics Ogre is the GOAT. FFT was literally designed to be TO for babies, but TO for babies is still a 10/10 game.
