Hilariously, the British monarchs didn't formally give up their claim to the throne of France until 1802, or after the Revolution.
All British coinage up until that year even had inscriptions listing "King of France" among the monarch's titles (making George III the last one to make that claim). --- after years of waiting nothing came ... Copied to Clipboard!
