A CONVICTED child abuser kept a journal detailing the sick abuse that she subjected her kids to and their repeated attempts to escape it.

Ruby Franke was best known as a beloved family YouTube vlogger and doting mother until online allegations against her for child abuse gained traction and she found herself facing criminal charges.

In December 2023, Franke pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree felony child abuse and was sentenced in early 2024 to up to 30 years in prison.

Washington County, where Franke was prosecuted, released a trove of evidence on Friday, including her journal that documented what her children went through.

Jodi Hildebrandt is also serving four 1 to 15-year prison terms for each of the four counts of child abuse she also pleaded guilty to.

She served as Franke's business partner and self-proclaimed life coach, author, and founder of ConneXions Classroom.

Their religiosity is present throughout the journal as Franke references "Satanic choices" and "the devil's" influences on her kids' actions.

In July, she details how one child, at age 12, was still soiling himself.

"Satanic choices still lead one to be destitute - even in the most affluential homes," Franke wrote.

The next day, an entry said that her 12-year-old child didn't know what month it was, despite it being his birthday.

She then notes that both his and his sister's incontinence is linked to "deviant behavior," going on to say that their emotions are due to rejecting God.

"They are both furious their selfish sinful lifestyle is being intervened upon..." she wrote.

"I told [him] he emulates a snake. He slithers & sneaks around looking for opportunities...

"If he wants to emulate the savior then he needs to be 100% obedient."

Franke went on to write that she believed her son to be "possessed" and refused to repent.

A following entry turns Franke's attention to one of her daughters, saying that July 11 was a "Big day for evil," and that the young girl had "manipulated" her by crying only when Franke was around.

The journal described how the girl "[admitted] to 'putting on a show' for her mother."

On the same day, Franke wrote that she told her son to "stand in the sun w/ his sun hat," claiming that his refusal to do so was "his demon ... in the shade."

The mother went on to detail how she continued to push her son into the sun as he continuously returned to the shade.

Franke reports coming "back with a cactus poker" and using it to try and force the child into the sun and when he does not comply, she links it to his "demon."

"When I poke his back to get in the sun [he] doesn't flinch. I poke him on the neck, he is in a trance & doesn't appear to feel anything," reads the journal.

The disturbing scene is given more detail as Franke writes about her tactic switch when sticking her child with a cactus spine did not work.

"He wants out of his outcomes....he stays in the shade," she wrote.

"I take my old mop water & go to him. I show him the water. Then I pour the water on him. It's hot outside."

"'It feels good, doesn't it?'" she recalls asking him.

After this occurrence, she says that the child "stole water" and when he was confronted for it, she responded by "speaking" to his "demon" through the child.

"Give your demon friend a message for me," she instructed.

"I will not rest. I will not stop. I will not leave. I will fight him until the day you die.

"I have the power of God, & he must obey. I beat satan. I win."

She then grabbed her son by his shoulders and spoke directly to the "demon."

"GET OUT NOW! GO!" she recalled yelling.

The journal also documents that her daughter created songs about how Franke restricted food and "starved" the children.

The mother consistently writes about enforcing fasting as a form of religious repentance and an "outcome" to lead to salvation.

Franke shared the lyrics to her daughter's tune, writing, "My mom starves me & calls it fasting.

"My mom won't lift 2 fingers & bring me food because all she does is lie on the bed & eat brownies.

"My mom says she is the most loving mom in the world - blah blah blah."

The lyrics then shift, referencing Franke's threat that her daughter would not be allowed to return home as a result of the girl's behavior.

"If I can't ever go home then what's the point of being obedient?

"I'm going to run away!"

The journal consistently records Franke's different methods of abuse including continued fasting, threats to drop the kids off in the desert, and speaking to their "demons."

In the last journal entry, which marked the end of summer, the mother drew conclusions about her techniques.

"Poking is a strategy/technique. [He's] seeming to respond to poking, pouring cold water, towel whip," she wrote.

The mother seemed to vindicate herself, writing "God pelted hail from the heavens. He is poking [my son] as well."

She likened the occurrence to a near miracle ordained by God.

"Hail in August in St. George is a mystery. A heavenly validation of this intervention."

Her physical punishment escalated in intensity as Franke frustratedly wrote about her son and daughter still soiling themselves and defecating on the floor at times.

"Willing to try anything that would grab his attention, I whipped him w/ a belt yesterday. [Her] too."

Franke was arrested in August 2023, the month the journal entries end, after her YouTube channel of more than 2 million followers was taken down for an undisclosed reason earlier in the summer.

Following her arrest, the eldest daughter posted to Instagram noting that she and her siblings were safe and away from their parents.

"Hi all. Today has been a big day. Me and my family are so glad justice is being served," she wrote.

Yo, she is mega fucked up. Pardon my French but I don't believe there is an actual word in the English language, or probably any language for that matter, that can accurately describe someone like this.
