A couple people have blocked me, but it's generally cases where I won't let them be wrong about important things (the only one coming immediately to mind is zebatov not liking me proving his anti-vax ramblings wrong). I often butted heads with NMB because he butts heads with everyone, but I can't think of any specific instance where that happened and he seemed to have a problem with it.

Maybe he's just blocking everyone that's ever disagreed with him in an attempt to be able to make his posts without ever having to face any sort of adversity. I'm not sure how successful that will be when there are so few posts and posters in the first place, but it's his life.

I would guess 10am would be considered getting up early for him

I've worked enough night shift jobs that I wish more places were open 24/7 so I didn't have to fuck up my sleep schedule to do basic errands.

Maybe yesterday's topic is him trying to come back after blocking everyone that might possibly put a damper on that return. That, and it's not like we can even see when he does post here now, so who knows how often he's making topics?

He blocked me a while ago because reasons.

I was going to reply to that post and point out that most places have never been open 24-hours, even before the pandemic. Depending on where you live you may have noticed no real change at all.

I guess it's a good thing he closed the topic before I could post because I probably would have gotten blocked as well.

Yeah, he blocked me during the topic about comics vs manga about a week or two ago, iirc. A few of us basically took apart everything he was saying, not out of any malice, but because he kept repeating nonsense that could be explained away or easily contradicted with minimal evidence (let alone a ton of it). I think NMB got fed up with me, and maybe one or two other people then.

Pretty much. He's not exactly neurotypical, at least as far as having an accurate picture of the world and people around him goes, and he tends not to respond well to people pointing out that the obviously false things he says are obviously false. I'm guessing he's just going full echo chamber and blocking everyone that's ever put him in a position of needing to rethink the things he's said, though at that point I'm not sure why he's bothering to post because there can't be many active users left after doing that.
