RI will rise again

And then RI will get shut down. I think Fandom's eventual goal, going by Timmy's posts, is to eventually shut down all non-topical social boards, and probably some of the topical ones that aren't remotely related to gaming, as well.

I've posted this before, and I'll post it again for anyone who didn't see it previously. These are snippets of a couple of Timmy posts:

While we recognize the value of healthy debate and diverse perspectives, such discussions must remain respectful and relevant to our gaming-focused platform.

Once CE is gone I think Fandom will target the religion board. It's basically dead anyway and they'll claim axing it was about making Gamefaqs about games.

It's not being shut down. Just no more random alts claiming to be "new users," and no more repeat offenders. This place will become a lot cooler over time as the frequently-moderated get filtered through the system and we're left with the high-quality users (like me)

I think they will just shutdown the boards.

Don't forget the Philosophy/Ethics and Paranormal/Conspiracy boards (unless they rename the latter to "Ghosts and Cryptids," which prettymuch eliminates any political discussion on the board unless people start to ponder about global warming's possible effects on bigfoot.)
