Possibly, but if it was I would think it would affect Dragona since she's been the main carrier for the lava rock. I don't think Usagi ever actually came into direct contact with it. Having a rock human as one of the protagonists, maybe we'll have a concrete answer why the rock humans actually hate humans rather than just saying "they're incompatible with each other". I'd say Jojolion started out rather strong as well with the whole finding out he's Kira up to discovering the stand abilities of his families. I think JJL mainly started faltering after he introduced Rai halfway through the story and making him a mainstay.
