A lot of them were really dumb sitcoms. But the internet wasnt as fast so wed just sit in the living room and watch reruns of various shows for hours at a time.

I've never been much of a tv person. My family did, but it drove me up the wall.

I never did a ton of this, really. I mostly stayed in my room and played video games.

I've got friends who still do this, tho, like, just put on Family Guy or Friends or something and just let it play non-stop at their house.

Now we stream old shows, including sitcoms, all day.

They used to play Mamas Family an hour a day, in order. My brother and I went through the whole series at least 4 times.

simpler times. maybe I should do that again.

Back in my day (late 80s and early 90s), I watched cartoons during the day (after school and weekends) and nick @ night which was mostly black and white sitcoms during the night. I also gamed a lot back then but it was mostly nes/snes/genesis which I got bored of after a few hours. I only had so many games.

I never really watched much contemporary sitcoms at the time like the TGIF stuff. My sitcom watching came from Nick at Night and TV Land mostly.

Of course I remember the time, it is now

thats still all i do lmao. seinfeld all day every day. and when i get tired of that, simpsons 2-7 all day every day. then back to seinfeld. rinse and repeat

It's now easier than ever to do this.

My whole generation grew up on reruns of old sitcoms from before we were born. You can walk up to nearly any 40-year-old and quote I Love Lucy and they will 100% know what you're talking about
