Oh I didn't mean the 2020 election. Though it wouldn't surprise me. I mean these fucking morons are so insane they're claiming the local HOA board elections are rigged. Trying to do fucking recall votes and basically starting the equivalent of that tails subreddit but for the HOA on Facebook and doing literally everything insane.

I would never ever willingly move into an HOA under any circumstances. Some people get extremely lucky and end up in one that isnt a nightmare but if it goes bad it can get batshit insane and them fuckers can seize your damn property in extreme situations.

They can't seize mine because the bank has the biggest stake. I regularly get letters offering to buy the house though no questions asked they pay all closing costs and liens and my only duty is to be gone in 2 weeks.

I'm strongly considering it. This house is worth almost twice what I paid for it. Guesstimating with napkin math if I took one of these offers I'd be able to close my mortgage and have about $200,000 cash I could use to buy a new house. I'd have to move far out but that's a win win because no HOA and no more mortgage payments.

My HOA doesn't do anything. They collect our money and that's it. So long as you arent' selling crack out of your garage they don't care at all.

Someone is also suing my HOA over election bullshit.

Sadly it's getting harder and harder to buy a house that isn't part of an HOA. If you are a normal sane person that's not dealing with an election denial situation then you should consider joining the HOA Board. Why Join? To pacify the HOA and make sure they aren't over policing.
