My rig is decent specced but for fuck's sake, I don't want to spend my life webcamming to 12 year olds. So why the fuck is every single option on my computer defaulted to "streamer" spec? Are there that many people these days who do this?

A few examples, because I just want to get it off my chest.

L&T thinks: "hey, wouldn't mind seeing what FPS I get on this game."
Computer says: "sure matey, here's your follower count, comments, and some other shit too as default."
L&T thinks: "fuck that, I'll just use an FPS counter."

L&T thinks: "hey, my speakers are noisy so I guess I'll link my headphones too."
Computer says: "sure matey, your headphones have three different mixes, btw don't forget to download this app to mix your levels correctly."
L&T thinks: "fuck that, I'll just plug my headphones in."

L&T thinks: "hey, my parents are elderly and I'd rather speak to them on my PC rather than my laptop."
Computer says: "sure matey, this app will record everything. Let us know what volume level you want reactions recorded at!"
L&T thinks: "fuck that, I'll just facetime them instead."

I know I'm old, and I assume kids these days stream everything, but this is more of a cathartic rant because I just want something to work out of the box, rather than downloading gigabytes of bullshit to end up streaming to 0 people and 14 adbots.

L&T thinks: "fuck that, I'm too old for this".
