I wouldn't say KH is on the whole an "easy" series, especially on the higher difficulty levels. Not to the degree of Pokemon or Kirby or what have you, anyway.

Yeah but it (or at least the first game) was definitely designed in a way to appeal to kids. The main playable (non original) characters are Donald Duck and Goofy, after all. I never implied that the game was easy on the same level as Pokemon, but Sephiroth was definitely mentioned by my fellow kids during my lunch breaks in the same sort of conversations that Whitney was.

FWIW, I was thinking of the original GSC Whitney (granted I haven't played HGSS). that rollout as a kid was deadly lol

I think a few of the tougher bosses are difficult enough to consider though Seph is the most infamous

Yeah, Sephiroth isn't the hardest optional boss in KH, but it was definitely the one people talked about the most.

As with other videogame difficulty topics the popular answers don't reflect reality, as this would most likely have to be filled with 4 SHMUP bosses instead of baddies from videogames most people that have played them have already completed.
