According to some quick googling, a mobility scooter can go 15-25 miles on a full charge. A marathon is 26.2 miles. So it seems like none of them would actually be able to finish unless somebody's swapping out the batteries part way through.

They have wheelchair races at the Boston Marathon and its very tastefully done, id like to see some of the best obese Walmart athletes compete.
