I've been showering in almost ice cold water for almost 2 weeks. At first it was a huge shock to my body.
Now I did it this morning and my body didn't even flinch. I had to do it in the military at times. Im capable of it and while I dont like hot showers I do prefer luke warm showers.

I've taken showers without working hot water. It's miserable but doable.

I did it for a while for the health benefits but then realized I didn't really need to boost my metabolism since mine is already pretty good and Im active enough.

I can, but it's definitely not a no problem situation. It normally takes like a solid minute to even get from breathing heavy.

I've probably taken a few hundred cold showers over the years, and a few ice baths and cold plunges. It was difficult the first few times, but you figure out how to deal with it. I don't do it very often anymore because I didn't perceive any benefit from it aside from general preparedness.

yeah, i was on a cold shower kick for a while but i dont really notice a health difference compared to hot showers

Yep, have done it before when staying at military bases (as a civvy). We called hot showers "hollywood showers", shamelessly nicked from the underwater boat people.
I normally go in arse-first and then lean my head back. Once the cold shock's worn off, I'm good to go. That said, my shower's normally around 38-40 degrees so it gets steamy quite quickly. Love a hot shower. --- Signature ... Copied to Clipboard!
