It's not pro-life if they want to ban IVF and not give a shit once they're born.

Pro choice 100 percent. Fuck the government telling girls what they can and can't do with their own bodies.

Pretty much uninhibitedly pro choice. Like, as long as it hasn't been born yet, you're good.

waht percent of americans even really wanna restrict abortion. Popular vote it has failed in every u.s. state. Seems a ton of politicians want to do that, severely restrict. But why do politicians want that much more than the avg american?

From a quick search earlier, the typical abortion rules (first trimester), are like 70% pro abortion. It drops massively after that, which also gets increasingly more rare.

still why do a much higher percent of politicians want to restrict it, or seems like they do?

I think it's an issue of purity, or sunk cost, maybe. Republicans have been solidly anti-abortion for ages, and even if it's not popular or a good strat, they just have to be all in.

They've spent so much time and money being anti-abortion that giving it up at this point is admitting you've lost.

Isnt it strange that most of the legislation on this issue regarding the rights to a womans bodily autonomy are controlled by geriatric old white men with more money than sense that have likely impregnated multiple mistresses that theyve likely paid hush money for an abortion

Real strange

imo, it is also very stupid. it's hard to account properly sometimes for regions, but first trimester abortions are like 70% supported, which is a massive majority in terms of voters, but after that it plummets. most abortion rulings fall within the first trimester, so it's hard to see how that would lose a vote - but Republicans have successfully weaponized this somehow, by convincing people that "Liberals want to literally murder infants after birth" or some shit, I dunno, it's ridiculous.

Absolutely, and it's probably very similar in terms of voters, if you could properly explain the issue.
