AbsolutelyNoOne 05/02/24 9:07:58 PM #53:	Space Invaders Pac-Man Street Fighter II Daytona USA First three are mostly self-explanatory (Space Invaders kicked off the Golden Age - this is what I think puts it a clear step above Pong, Pac-Man was the first true megahit arcade game, SF2 revived arcades for the 90's). Daytona USA is there mostly for fun, though it was great, felt like a game from the future when it came out, and represents a less conventional type of arcade cabinet than the above. And that soundtrack. Now that we are in a time where so many games have crossovers, the idea of SFxMK would be like when Mario and Sonic first started showing up in games together. There was a big gaming rivalry there, and that burst out of arcades. Dance Dance Revolution: if you have any post-2000 arcade game recognized, I feel like this would almost have to be the one. NBA Jam: Tournament Edition: being on fire entered the American lexicon here if it wasn't already. So were many announcer quotes.
