Yeah, that's his MO.
Created a few topics over on the comics board a while back on how he used to be an avid reader, but now realized only losers read comics. When met with pushback he started going on about how he's really successful and everyone but him are losers!

Positivity and hope are not for me. I do not believe most positive things in my life are worth talking about and I dont think those things are interesting or engaging either.

From what I'm gathering TC is either a troll or ab attention whore, yet what he's saying is not baseless, tbh.

I used to keep up with news and at some point realized it was affecting my mental health negatively, so while not being completely detached, I don't pay as much attention to politics or news anymore, and am considerably happier as a result

Regardless of the real intent of the TC is y'alls response not telling? He said you guys revel in negativity and you immediately came in here to tell him to fuck off, argue about politics, call each other names, and generally have grudges.

I mean...all but the first example you just listed was done by someone that agreed with the OP.
And I agree with it myself. CE can be overly negative and if you find it impacts your well-being leaving is a good thing. Though I'd say there's a difference between just leaving and deciding you need to make spectacle of it.

Tbh, being on social media can be pretty bad for you. I count message boards as a form of social media as well. And sometimes you really need to take a break. If you lack the willpower to stay away, I think deleting the account is a very good idea.

There have been studies showing that people that frequent social media are more mentally drained than people that don't.

Because regardless of his real intent, the message is true. It's not news to say that CE has a lot of maladjusted malcontents. And it's absolutely true that you don't have to be provoked.
