They've been making the TikTok parody videos long before the recent Tetrahedron thing, and yes there are real TikTok videos that look like this which Onion is parodying. Those videos put the actual content on half the screen then add Family Guy clips and/or mobile game gameplay for maximum brained stimulation. Nothing happened to the Onion, they are still on top of their game (but yes they've had less budget in recent years which is why you don't get the full newsroom parody videos anymore, but they're trying to bring those back after the new acquisition).

Yeah, this is just a case of where reality has gotten so stupid that you cant tell the parody apart anymore.

That Miyamoto thing is real tho, he told me that himself while I was standing in line behind him at the grocery store. Then he stole a candy bar and winked at me.

Honestly the Onion could just start posting Trump, Desantis and MTG speeches verbatim and it would work.

I've never really watched The Onion videos - but all this stuff seems to be from before their recent buyout, so I don't think it should have changed much.

We'll see if it changes significantly going forward, I guess.
