We banned tiktok for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was which the fact that bytedance assured Congress that the Chinese government didn't have access to tiktok data until it was leaked that their employees were using tiktok data to hunt down the sources for a journalist who said something bad about china.

Since 2020, TikTok executives have repeatedly tried to reassure people that Chinese staff cannot access the data of non-Chinese users.

But in 2022, ByteDance admitted that several of its Beijing-based employees did access the data of at least two journalists in the US and UK to track their locations and check whether they were meeting TikTok employees suspected of leaking information to the media.

Oh man sonic on damage control time. I know why tiktok was really banned.

I'd say at least it makes them easier to track, but it seems the DOJ isn't interested in stopping these kinds of groups.

I said to myself what's the big deal - 100? Then I got the militias.

Still. They are independent of Trump.

I suspect a few houses on my street are in a right wing militia together and it kinda worries me.

probably nothing to worry about if fall into the category of the ones they hate.
would be more careful (wrath they can do is bad).

one time a group got bent out of shape because the owner of a brewery didn't like a certain group of people bringing AR-15 style guns and parading them around the customers. they ended up protesting outside city hall for half the day.

they certainly have no use (it's only for killing, not even for hunting).

And will anything be done?
