I will say this: the multiplayer was the best it's ever been.

I don't think it does stop and pop OR cover shooting well. It's just like a kinda clunky TPS with stamina for you melee.

I remember the Chris section at least being a decent TPS when I first played it but after replayign it, it felt much worse.

It's not as bad as people make it out to be, yeah some of the campaigns are meh but Leon's and Chris's are the two best.
The Mercenaries mode is the 2nd best next to Mercenaries mode from 4. I never get bored playing Mercenaries Mode. One of the silliest, most fun multiplayer experiences I've ever had. Put it on easy, get some drinks with a friend, and you basically have an adventure beat-em-up game. There's literally a button for Chris Redfield that makes him say "Hell yeah!" and do a thumbs-up gesture.
