And, contrary to a lot of people, well, what they think they know about that, it wasn't really Nixon. He didn't do anything wrong. It was a deep state plot to get him. Absolutely. Now, Nixon and Trump they have a lot in common, but also a lot of things not in common. In the full segment, which you can find elsewhere, he goes so far to say that Bob Woodward was a CIA plant. I've heard people say that Nixon wasn't actually doing anything that unusual at the time with his dirty tricks and coverups and that the CIA went after him because he was centralizing power outside of their hands. But even in that view, he's still guilty and the problems are that other guilty people are not held accountable and that the CIA has the power to destroy Presidents, not that Nixon was innocent.
