The last time I went to Wendy's I was given a burger with a bun that was half-green from mold. The whole chain has been giving off K-mart "we don't care anymore and we're coasting until it's all over" vibes since Covid.

Seems like most the first world in general. We've been conditioned to believe there's no hope for the future of society, and while it's for good reason, it's a pity because it shouldn't have to be that way. Or maybe we realize that corporate chains producing surpluses of unhealthy food like Wendy's are one of the last things we need to put ourselves on a sustainable path, but somehow I doubt that's the case.
