nah. Barney (or Grimace) Purple is a fine color; roughly eggplant, I reckon.

Pale guys should avoid pastels. Barney Purple is bold/dark enough that it's great.

This. Im extremely pale, darker shades of most colors of shirts work on me, but anything super bright and pastel looks terrible.

Pastels are definitely out. If we wear anything light or bright we basically glow. Neutral and dark colors all day. I'm wearing a red shirt right now and it's borderline.

If you're really pale the only color you should probably avoid is white or like beige
