3.I hope I am wrong, because it would be a big problem for his campaign. The cult will vote Trump no matter what, but he needs to expand that base to win. Normal people arent drawn to anyone who would shoot a puppy in the face.

Oh no, he desperately wants to be President again. Partly to shield from some of his legal problems, and partly because he loves the fantasy of everyone calling him sir with tears in their eyes as he wields power.

He has never taken the responsibilities of the presidency seriously, unless golf and tv count. He is in it for the perks and the grift and covering his ass, and will blow off the actual work just like he did in his first term.

I think the chances of Trump actually seeing prison time significantly increase if he loses the election. The GOP no longer has any reason to protect him if he loses again and he likely won't make it to run a 4th time.

No amount of right-wing media spin can help Noem shake the 'puppy-killer' image, and Democrats won't even need to lift a finger on this because social media will do all the heavy lifting for them.

I honestly hope he does take her on, even though his campaign people have already said they've decided against her. It would be an albatross around his neck because as others have said across all these threads about her, the majority of Americans love dogs and it would hurt him more than all the fascistic stuff he's been blatantly blurting out likely would once people learned about Noem's excerpts. Rounding out the South Dakota governors Friday was the Rolling Stone report based on sources of the publication who recounted how Trump has expressed disgust with Noems killing of Cricket in closed-door meetings and telephone conversations.

Why would she do that? Trump who is grappling with nearly 90 felony criminal charges, among other legal problems was quoted as saying. What is wrong with her?

Rolling Stone added: He has expressed bewilderment that she would have ever admitted to doing this, willingly and in her own writing, and has argued it demonstrates she has a poor grasp of public relations.

This is how he actually feels.

What any politician but especially Trump says to donors, people he's trying to grift for money, is generally bullshit. He just won't throw a MAGA worshipper under the bus in a professional environment since he doesn't gain anything from doing so. He'll officially praise Noem despite personally being done with her, same as he's doing for Kari Lake.

No. I am not sure how anyone can come to that conclusion based on this post or anything I have ever posted.

I wrote that I want Trump to pick Noem because having a puppy killer on the ticket would be a big liability to his campaign. I also wrote that not even Trump would be dumb enough to make that pick at this point. How you get from there to me wanting Trump to win is far beyond me.

I think that Trump is by far the worst President of my lifetime, is perhaps the worst in history, and has shown himself to be an awful and corrupt human being both before and after entering public office. My position on this has been very clearly stated for a long time.

People underrate Trump's political awareness just because he's stupid in most other regards. He was able to build a cult for a reason, and his previous choice of running mate was far more strategic than he's given credit for.

The idea behind picking Noem before was that she was a Trump loyalist with the public image of being a somewhat reasonable conservative. Unfortunately for Trump she killed that perception in order to sell a book, but he obviously notices how far her stock has dropped.
