Is anyone else convinced these pandart variants are just AI generated images? Theres something unsettling and unappealing about them despite having kind of a cool look at first glance.

I think they do a lot of their art using some sort of computer program and maybe AI assisted in some way

I don't think they're AI generated though. There are a few I like too. I like She Hulk, Death, and Infinaut a decent amount

I dont understand what the Baron Mordo change is conveying.

It's basically saying the next card your opponent draws will cost 6 until turn 6.

So it just doesn't automatically draw the card for your opponent anymore and the cost increase goes away on turn 6.

It's a little weird because I feel the main benefit to Mordo was to bulk up their hand. But maybe the annoyance with no card draw for them will matter.

This was the coolest Galactus counter. Turn 4 I passed when the -1 cost location was in play. They played Galactus turn 5 with a pretty full board, but yet

With old Mordo they could just ignore the 6 cost card but now they're basically skipping a draw which I think is probably better.

I hate Ego so much. Not because it's frequent or it costs me matches, but the decision making is just so beyond dumb it boggles my mind. Like did they design Ego to be the most inefficient AI ever?

I mean, it's barely AI.

I've literally had turns where he can play a card but doesn't.

That shouldn't happen. That's his entire AI - play cards until he can't.

It really feels more and more like the game is rolling down hill. And it's picking up speed fast. Apparently a few pretty prominent snap content creators have retired from the game. 95% of development seems to go straight into ways to make more money. And I'm really starting to feel the drag myself, dunno how much more I have in me.

Personally I think the entire game was flawed from the design stage, esp on monetization.

They designed the game to have small decks so that they don't need to pump out 100 card expansions every 4 months like Hearthstone but that's the only thing that keeps TCGs fresh. And that's also the biggest way to make money in these games too.

They obviously had some ideas on how to monetize that were immediately shut down by the community too like the gacha elements from the beta.

Stale game means declining playerbase means less money from season pass means more predatory monetization to capitalize on the whales.

Meanwhile I've had the most fun this season I've had in a while so *shrug

Blink is just really fun to use and most of the cards from this block have been good in a fair feeling way

People leaving in infinite on turn 6 are so annoying. We're not trying to be #1 on the leaderboards here and I'm trying to win lanes with 20+ power for this stupid weekly mission. Just let the damn game play out!

Shop sure is full of cash bundles compared to the past.

Yeah I had a blast with it. There are a ton of ways to plunk down Infinaut or Giganto (into the wrong lane) which is always satisfying. If you can't remove Electro with Blink you sometimes don't even care because between Jeff and War Machine there are a few ways to play around his restriction.

I think it caught a lot of people off guard and the cube rate is why I climbed with it fairly quickly. The actual win rate probably isn't amazing. Like it has a hard time with stuff like Destroy (a problem) and Move (rare to see so less so a problem). Just anything that brute forces a ton of strength. Red Hulk generally didn't matter though. Infinaut is always bigger.

Man fuck Blink. I've been playing a Blink deck today and every fucking time I play her after Jubes I've already got every fucking 6 cost in my hand and I have 5 fucking 6 cost cards in this deck.

Yeah playing Blink now and then every other match I start with my hand full of sixes

But when it works its so satisfying.

I played about 10 games before it started working then it was kicking ass.

If I use tokens to buy the new card release for a week, does that automatically make their Spotlight variant available the first round of 4 caches? Or do I still have to use at least 5 spotlight keys for a chance at getting that sick Thena variant?

Up 8-2 against a Destroy player in Conquest. He gets one lucky wolverine flip, landing in the one location that he needed him to for him to win a round. He then gets cloning vats next game, basically an auto win for destroy. Next game, his Nico Minoru's location changing spell turns random location into cloning vats for another win. Final game starts, first location? You guessed it, Cloning Vats

My latest joy in this game is my Scarlet Witch/Storm/Magik/Nocturne/Legion deck. With Grandmaster, Rhino, Juggernaut, Nico, Quake, and Jeff for flavoring. If the RNG is gonna screw me, Im going down causing as much chaos as possible.

I tried this one out for a while today and it was mixed bag. It's a bit tricky to pilot I'll admit. Ended up screwing myself over with storm a couple times, and overfilling a lane too. But I like the concept and will keep playing with it.

I usually just rush storm if I draw her, often go Angela -> Storm onto Angela lane and then depending on whether they fight it your turn 4 ignores it or doesn't (War Machine or Jeff can pull it back later)

One thing I've found tends to help the deck a lot is not necessarily rushing to play Angela. Like if you draw Kitty + Angela going

T1 Kitty
T2 Kitty
T3 Angela + Kitty

Is better than Angela on T2 by a bit. Since Electro and Hope means you'll often be able to have a T6 where Kitty + a 6 drop is played every bit helps her

I did consider putting Elsa in but wasn't sure who take out and the deck doesn't reliably fill lanes

But yeah it does have a learning curve for sure

Yeah I don't understand why the devs seem to place no value on filling your opponent's board with junk.

The decks you see in Infinite are so strange. Junk deck also running Red Hulk and ALSO running Enchantress for some reason literally just to fuck me playing Cerebro 3 I guess.
