The most technically impressive arcade game I've played/seen in person is probably Halo: Fireteam Raven but notably that's a 2018 release and something happened a few years afterward that made me not go to arcades since then. So I dunno.

Is this not being split by era?I don't want to run four topics for arcades, and I don't think they have the pull that PC does, anyway. --- Not changing this sig until I decide to change this sig. Started: July 6, 2005 ... Copied to Clipboard!

This is... rough. Today, arcade games actually aren't that impressive. They don't have the most impressive hardware, and haven't in decades. Even the gimmicks they employ that keep them from being played on home console aren't that impressive. So, I'm picking a game that was very impressive at release and it took a full decade+ to get a proper home release of any kind: Dragon's Lair.

lol I requested to do the 80s PC and then totally missed it
I am so good at this gamefaqs thing As for Arcades? Man, I gotta think about it. So that means I'll probably miss the vote. But man there are a LOT of contenders. The arcade space is so wild. My first thought wants to say a racing game where the whole thing moves. My second thought is a shooting game like Police 911 where it was like Time Crisis, but you had to move your whole body because it had motion control. Heck part of me just wants to say Dactyl Nightmare because dang man.....competitive VR in 91? Insane. Maybe one of the Sega R360 games because have you seen that thing? Holographic Time Traveler...8 player Daytona USA all with moving cars....there are just to many to name --- I'd Rather Be A Savage Little Elephant, than be a big Bald Bull "I claim one line in your sig" = TheKnightOfNee ... 8 player Daytona USA all with moving cars This was my first thought, though it's probably more visually impressive to see in front of you than it is technical. on a racing game note vr mario kart arcade seemed decent graphically, shame it's such a short and limited experience (which is why i decided to roll with ace attorney instead) actually now that i think about it i wonder how good modern takes on series known for having good graphics historically generally are *checks the last densha de d arcade game* eh, not as good as i hoped for shame stuff like ace combat never came back to arcades, like ace combat 7 would kinda go hard as one ...
