Time flies. I remember everyone stayed inside for months. The streets were empty. It was such a weird time.

And my immune system is still fucked ever since catching it in 2022.

Used to get sick maybe once a year and it'd be like a few days of headaches and sore throats and then back to normal. Now I get sick every other month for about 3 weeks and I feel miserable the whole time.

That would enrage me, I'm glad I didn't see that.

You still can. In fact, thanks to the pandemic, remote work is more "viable" than ever. When my company forced us to go back into office, I immediately was able to get a job somewhere else that was fully remote and have been climbing the ladder, all fully remote, since then.

It must have been different in more densely populated areas. In my area you couldn't tell any difference. People were definitely not staying inside.

they blocked off the beach for almost 2 years after a surge of tourists wanted to go to the beach during spring break.

not alot of fun for me since the only activity i went to the beach was for an hour long dog walk.

if anyone asks why it was to prevent a massive surge of infections because the covid spread so bad throughout the state and didn't want to overwhelm the hospitals.

Is it really a weird time, seeing how Covid can fuck people up in many ways? One of the first things that was generally understood about Covid was for its ability to attack different parts of the human body

Scientists/doctors at the time were having a hard time finding a way to TREAT it for months

Probably the scariest part about Covid is that it didnt always affect people immediately, could take up to a full two weeks before someone started showing symptoms

It's just weird thinking about how it changed the way we lived for a period of time. Pretty much everyone staying indoors for long periods of time. Isolation. Distancing. No events of any kind. Empty streets. It was like the apocalypse or something. It's quite surreal thinking about all of it.

it had to be done though, because it was/still is a very contagious virus. After all Covid is simply one of many viruses/diseases throughout history that completely changed the way humans lived their lives.
