The Beatles or Queen topic made me realize I have never listened to a Queen album front to back. So Im going to do just that. Not looking to make extra work for myself so just going to take a song at a time and try to get in a song every day or so. Im no critic or even overly knowledgeable about music so just general impressions. Listen along or not.

Death on Two Legs

lets see. I like the intro and the piano. I like the sound of the guitar tone. I like Mercurys singing. The lyrics are not the best. A lot going on here but doesnt coalesce into a song for me. Its not bad it just feels like it meanders in a not unpleasant way for four minutes. Not bad but not going to run out and throw this on a playlist.

I like context so that will help. Ill find some time when I get through all the songs to relisten. It seems an odd way to start an album, but like I said context and I dont have the whole picture yet.

Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon

That felt more like a song. It also sounded Beatlesesque and pushed through as Queen filter. Breezy, short, enjoyable. Not great, not unpleasant. This does not answer my questions about the sequencing of the album.

Im in Love With My Car

That was unexpected. Guitar at the start reminded me of Zappa. Its a song. I didnt hate it. I didnt quite like it either. So far this is a strange album.
