When I was in Japan four years ago, they had just recently started playing bird sounds and soft symphony music in the subways.

I wouldn't mind it so much if it wasn't just too darn loud in many places, especially bars and restaurants. I shouldn't have to almost scream to talk to someone at the same table/bar.

Its bc when people hear familiar music, including tunes they dont even like but still recognize, it makes them more inclined to shop
