Man, please just don't play healer if you can't figure out how to not be the first person to die 4 fucking attempts in a row

Too many healers just treat it as the DPS Queue Fast Pass.

If the healer is dying they're either
1.) Standing in the fire
or
2.) The tanks sucks ass

Except in FF14 where it's the opposite and healers refuse to do any kind of DPS even if it's a DPS race and them not doing it will cause you to fail

It was option 1 in this case. Literally nothing we could do. We had a Summoner and I told him on 3 different attempts to raise the healer but that advice didn't take until the 4th.

Then they both died shortly after that anyway.

I'm scared to play again now

i feel like every player i get with a shitty attitude in ffxiv is a dungeon hero healer -- players that have level 66 dungeon content mastered so well that they have a strategy for every pull and they know the name of every attack, like, this is the content they live in.

with how they whine about every little thing i think they don't have enough to do. maybe it's the one-button dps rotation. maybe it's the fact that many of the tanks barely need them to heal them at all. maybe it's how speedrun dungeon comps don't even take healers.

And then hit you with 'you don't pay my subscription' when you ask them to dps

I still get PTSD from the Sunken Temple dungeon in WoW even though it's been heavily nerfed.

I once spent something like three fucking hours in that place because the group was just that goddamn incompetent.
