I did enjoy andromeda but it has its rightful complaints. Its definitely a step down from 1-3 but the gap between 1-3 and andromeda made it work for me. Helped scratch an itch either way.

I really cant imagine playing it right after the original trilogy though.

I do always chuckle when I drive home from work and see this.
