I kind of can't stand anything Weezer did post Pinkerton, but the Blue album is seriously legit.

I've got the Dungeon Master's Guide
I've got a twelve-sided die
I've got Kitty Pride and Nightcrawler, too
Waiting there for me, yes, I do

I have been into music heavily my whole life but I think there is something that always sticks with you a little more when you are in high school during those formative years of 14 to 18 and tends to stick out for you.

This album came out about 3 weeks before I graduated high school and I listened to it a lot that summer. I can listen all the way through without skipping a song. Of course they had the 3 radio hits that everyone knows from that album but the whole thing is really really good.

Admittedly I never really followed Weezer that much past this outside a couple radio songs. I really only know Hash Pipe and Island in the Sun off the third green album but that is right around the time I stopped listening to new music and just stayed kind of stuck in the past though I did catch their version of Africa which I quite liked. I guess I did hear the Beverly Hills song too. So there have been a handful I have heard post blue album.

I had a few friends that liked Pinkerton quite a bit but I just wasn't heavy heavy into them but I sure did dig the blue album though. It is undoubtedly their most successful album and they are one of multiple bands where I loved their debut album and then just never really got into anything after that.

On one hand it does feel like a lifetime ago but on the other it is crazy it has been 30 years and feels like yesterday.

I'm not hating on them, I definitely get why people love the band.
