Survive yes. Of course. But it wouldn't be as tasty.

There's plenty of people surviving without meat. Even if dairy is excluded too, there's enough to prove it's possible, and meeting the demand would be no worse than it is currently given that farmland would become usable for crop growth (and likely, factory scale indoor plant growing would start becoming far more commonplace).

Eating meat is one of the biggest reasons why human brains evolved to where we are now.

That's actually a good point do you consider insects "meat"? There's obviously means of plant protein but society didn't really understand that back then

TC said all we'd have to eat is vegetation so I'd take that to mean no bugs either.

Without bugs a lot of plants wouldn't get pollenated. We could probably make it work but farming would take more effort.

Assuming you mean that animals didn't cease existing, which would assuredly cause an impossible to imagine ecological collapse especially by the loss of pollinators, and that we instead as a species developed an instant and total intolerance to consume meat...

Yeah, probably pretty easily once we adjusted agricultural practices to emphasis more proteins and the like. We use huge amounts of acreage for fodder for animals, so all that could be cut back and focused on growing something else. Our food production for humans would assuredly increase as a result.

If all non-human animals died, we'd likely suffer a significant population loss but still survive.

this has been discussed time after time and what Ive read (I didnt search it but found it and like wat the heck Ill just read it) humans will likely survive

there will be a slight struggle within years for the meaters cause of the diet adjustment but theyll get there
