Hamas indiscriminately attacking Israelis on a holy holiday and taking hostages? Thats the root cause of this conflict at least, but of course this is just another war of many. I agree Israel needs to get out of Palestine, but Hamas could have ended this a long time ago also. Those two powers will keep letting innocents suffer until one gives in, and it doesnt take a military genius to know it wont be the one winning.

The only one I can think of was from his jokes in one of his specials where foreplay/sexy talk was read in the very dry voice of a court lawyer. He doesnt actually think consent should be ignored, and people shouldnt take specials that seriously.

Bill Burr is a national treasure who amusingly annoys both sides fairly.

He has this uncanny ability to say the "meanest but true" things (like in this very video) in such a friendly and cool way.

I just watched the entire podcast and it was 2 friends having a fun chat with Burr cracking jokes on Maher through out. The clip lasts like 30 seconds before they flip to another subject. I wish they went more into it when Maher says something ignorant like saying the kids are siding with terrorists.

If you knew anything about either subject, or about extremism in general, then you would be aware that there is zero difference between said rhetorics.

BTW, here are some of the stupid/frustrating hyper-Zionist arguments I've seen in the Times of Israel comment section:

--Jews have a right to settle in Gaza/West Bank because they're the original indigenous group to the region. (They always shut up during the rare instance where someone compares that rhetoric to kicking Americans off of land in favor of indigenous Amerindians)
--Whining about Israeli and esp. American RoE, and comparing it to WWII RoE.

Ideally, or idealistically, if those responsible surrendered and the hostages were returned, Israel would withdraw. But I also know the history there is bloody and unending, so Ill admit thats just wishful thinking. I still have issues with the attack and the hostages, but Im not forgiving of Israels continuing retaliation either.

I hope this clarifies my previous comment as idealism, not as favoring an aggressor taking lands and murdering innocents.

Did hamas and palestine refuse to hand over the hostages ut kidnapped after it murdered 1700 people in cold blood and now don't even have enough of the hostages alive to negotiate a cease fire because they were too busy murdering them? It also doesn't take a military genius to look at Afghanistan and know that terrorists being occupied literally never give up.

The simple act of dictating to territory the locals do not view you as rightfully present in feeds terroristic recruitment efforts. So the current course of action is not a solution either.
