Ornstein & Smough was great, Abyss Watchers was great, but GSD is ass.

I'm watching a streamer fight them, which prompted this topic.

they're worse than Maneater in Demon's Souls, as far as multiple enemy boss fights go in the Eldensoulsbornekiro franchise go.

i used to loathe them but i actually think they're one of the more fun encounters now. prolly becuz ive exhausted all elden ring playstyles i can think of, so now all my runs are really unconventional. they twist it up nice

plus sleep pots/arrows help so much

valiant gargoyles is one of the worst gank fights ever tho imo. fuck that fight and the paltry sum it gives u for winning

The rolly one killed me a few times only because of how buggy it is. Like one time it suddenly stopped rolling, did some things, and then immediately started rolling again without its tell

Their designs are shit too

I hate that fight but I also hate that whole shitty area

That fight made me stop the game for over a year and completely soured my opinion of it overall. The end game from the snow area onward is some real bullshit I did not appreciate.

I actually enjoyed that fight, only died twice my first time going at it. Was just a legit tense and fun wall to wall fight lol

I beat them first try and never understood the struggle people had until I saw a breakdown of HOW BAD it can be. I got some good RNG and my build/playstyle just worked?

1: Sleep pots make all Godskins a joke (and I hope the trend continues in the DLC).
2: O&S lowkey suck, so putting the gameplay side by side I'd say they're a fair comparison.

tbh, I wasn't too proud to use ash summons, so I used the Mimic and equipped that one sleeping sword

Summon Latenna at one end of the boss room, keep the aggro on you, and then run to opposite side of the room. The room is so large that she won't be in much danger and can do her rapid fire sniping fairly safely.

It's not exceptional but I've never had serious trouble with it. I do think in general the game could've made duo bosses a little easier to separate. The worst such fight in the game is certainly the two gargoyles.

All the duo fights are hot garbage.

I never had too much difficulty with them personally. Maybe a combination of being strong and build-established at that point in the game, and knowing that they are weak to sleep.

I struggled more on Gargoyle Duo and Crucible Knight Duo.

The "duo" part is a lie. It's usually three or four you have to defeat until they completely die because of the stupid way the fight is done.

I'd rather fight them over the Fire Giant, though.

It's kinda surprising just how bad the duo boss fights are in Elden Ring. They backslid super hard after the Demon Prince fight in Ringed City.

Fire Giant wasn't bad for me, Scarlet Rot makes the fight take care of itself.

I have no clue what I'm going to do in Shadow of the Erdtree if Rotten Breath doesn't work as well lmao

I do cosplay builds nowadays and I don't deviate from what powers or abilities they have unless it makes sense to add it. Not even to defeat a single boss.

I gave up on the Senran Kagura mega-character, but I'm still doing cosplays. One I thought of that would get a double-take is Roserade (Yes, the Pokemon). I also want to do Cynthia (also Pokemon), Palutena (Kid Icarus), Morrigan Aensland (Darkstalkers), Rozalin (from Disgaea 2) and I kept Hibari as the lone Senran Kagura character of the bunch.

The duo fights are some of the worst in the game, but I actually didn't mind this one as much as the Crucible Knight duo or the Valiant Gargoyle duo. I had reasonable success using the pillars to seperate them, focusing down the Apostle while the Noble rolls his ass into the opposite side, but I was probably pretty overleveled by that point in every run.

i was drunk about 80% of the time i was playing elden ring. I just jumped attacked everything and barely avoided attacks iirc. Just kept retrying till i beat stuff somehow. I didn't even summon ashes after my 1st playthrough cuz I was somewhat OP outside of malenia, dog/wolf boss, and final boss.

They are very clearly not designed to be fought together even before Noble starts pulling out his roll cancel glitches

Yeah, as well as dual Thorned Whips with Poison Affinity and maybe two Staff of the Guilty weapons.

Sleeping pots or the NPC that you can summon (I think it was Bernthal (sp?)) make it pretty easy. On my third character run I barely had to do anything and watched him wreck them.

Go to youtube and click on your profile pic and do creator studio, then upload from your computer and link the video once it's finished.

Oh. Uhhh. Idk for PS, I used to stream all my gameplay to Twitch and then upload to YT from Twitch, but idk. Maybe there's a YT app on there that you can do it all from?

I'll look into it. I just hope Fandom doesn't think I'm hornyposting when it comes to the pictures, since some of the armors in Elden Ring can be revealing.

Anyway, decided on more characters as well. I'm doing a total of 15 through a mega-character and they are; Vivian (from Paper Mario), Sapphire (from Disgaea 3) and Antoire (a very obscure succubus character from Disgaea 1's Etna Mode).

I found fighting their spirit versions was way harder than the actual godskin duo fight

I was raging at the Crucible Knight duo fight my first playthrough but on later ones it became one of my favorite fights by testing how good I could parry. And parrying both of them with no summons or ashes was very satisfying

I didn't care for it, but there are worse and more bullshit fights in the game like Malenia, Maliketh, Gargoyle duo, Crucible Knight duo, and more that I'm having a brain fart over, because there's several.

Yeah it also doesn't actually grow in not hard at all...
