I don't pay over $20 for standard edition games anymore. $30-35 for deluxe/goty type games.

I haven't paid full price or bought a game on release in around... yikes. A decade?

Deals on PC games are everywhere, all the time. I haven't had a console since the ps1.

Yeah, gamepass seems awesome tbh. I know it's on PC but I haven't really looked into it too much though.

With inflation, prices for new games have actually raised at a slower rate than most products.

I remember when SMB3 came out and was $49.99.

That would equate to $135 now.

Super Mario World two Yoshis Island cost $70 when it came out in 1995. Adjusted inflation the game would now cost $140.

Iunno, I'm not the kind of chump that buys at launch.

I've probably averaged under ten per game for the last like ten plus years.

That cartridge included a SuperFX2 co-processor, not a bad price for cutting edge technology

I'm not thrilled about the price increasing, but I don't really understand the outrage. Inflation happens. Like TC said, game prices have probably raised more slowly than other things.

This is about America, I vaguely know that the prices have gotten fuckin' ridiculous in other places.
