current world record is held by Robbie Lakeman at 1,272,800 points

imagine if Billy Mitchell livestreamed himself in front of a live audience while playing Donkey Kong on a fully 100% authentic Donkey Kong arcade machine and broke the current world record

and when I say 100% authentic I mean black stick and all

how would you react?

I couldn't care less. He'd have a record almost nobody except himself cares about anymore, and it wouldn't make him any less an underhanded jerk-off in anyone's mind but his own. Plus, every time it would get brought up, folks would be like "yeah, I guess... unless he actually cheated again." Honestly, I think the people that did care would forever be waiting to hear how his new cheat got exposed, so his status would never really matter, even in fanatic circles.

The food here is terrible. My steak was so tough it attacked my coffee and the coffee was too weak to defend itself.

He DID actually get a high score after more than a decade after submitting his fake score. But you cheat once and you can't be trusted again. He should have just taken the loss instead of cheating.

yeah this is all true, my reaction would be simply amusement because he went through all that trouble to cheat and get himself in this stupid mess just for it to all be an even bigger waste once he hypothetically achieves the world record lol

I'm pretty sure he has the technical skill to do it. I think he got the Pac-Man one live on-site at an arcade. He's just such an egotistical piece of shit who always needs to be on top that he's willing to do whatever it takes, for whatever reason, so he cannot be trusted.
