Still a week to go until I can cast my vote. I don't know who to vote. I hope I will know by then.

Leaning toward any party/candidate?

If you are a citizen, yes. You vote for who will get your countrys seats. Each member country has a number of seats in the European Parliament based on population size. Sweden has 21 seats. So if you get 25% of the votes then you get 5 or 6 seats.

Not really. My main question as to who will get my vote is how tough they're no Russia. I don't want Putin-lickers in the EU parliament.

Sadly Portugal will be increasing the number of far-right assholes in the EU parliament.

Some months ago Public Defenders announced the arrest of several minor government figures accused of corruption. At the same time they announced that the prime-minister was also being investigated, so he resigned and the absolute majority government fell.

This was a great boon for our local far-right asshole party Chega that has been campaigning for years on being against corruption and wanting to clean up the country.

This led them to get huge gains in the last election, now controlling almost 20% of the seats, and now we have a minority government that is very unlikely to last and it's very possible that Chega will just increase their results in the next election, because they claim to be "against the system".

To complete this tragic comedy, most of the Public Defender's accusations were later tossed out of court because the judges said that no laws were broken in any of the events described by the Public Defenders and the Prime-Minister wasn't even mentioned once in the hundreds of phone call taps they conducted.

It was a total shit show. A lot of politicians called for the Public Defender's office to take responsibility for the whole mess, but on the other hand, legislative and judicial powers are supposed to be separate.

My candidate:

Pro-LGBTQ (he is gay), running on environmental policies, anti-Russian and anti-Nazism and far-right.

That is a fair point. They should make some announcement based on everything though.

V, MP and C are also totally against Chat Control.

S is the only party that wants in the most.
