https://edition.cnn.com/2024/05/21/health/microplastics-testicles-study-wellness/index.html

Human testicles contain microplastics and nanoplastics at levels three times higher than animal testes and human placentas, a new small study found.

They look like little shards, tiny broken bits from very, very old plastics, said Campen, a regents professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

The levels of microplastic shards and types of plastics in human testes were three times greater than those found in dogs, and the dogs are eating off the floor, Campen said. So it really puts in perspective of what were putting in our own bodies.

That's it. I'm switching to eating dog food from now on.

there are like 8,111,000,000+ humans (https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/) so I don't plan to make any babies personally.

I think we've done more than enough.

Accordingly I welcome all the microplastics in my balls.

There's just microplastics in everything, dude. Everyone has an increasing amount in them year over year:

A new study by researchers with the nonprofit Ocean Conservancy and the University of Toronto found microplastics tiny particles ranging from one micrometer (one thousandth of a millimeter) to half a centimeter in size in nearly 90 percent of protein food samples tested.

source: https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-solutions/2024/01/12/microplastics-fish-chicken-tofu-protein/

It's not going away and even if we stopped using car tires and all other forms of microplastics today it would still be present in the ecosystem for hundreds (likely over 1,000) years.

Car tires are one of the worst contributors. It gets into water and farmland.

That clears the prostate temporarily .. but there are microplastics in your muscles, in your blood.. in your brain.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9775992/

It's going to have major consequences eventually and we are just starting to become aware.

every source of plastic

it all breaks down, eventually. it's just not biodegradable, because no biological entity actually uses it for anything. even regular old garbage and food refuse is at least used by bacteria, which are used by other things, to create more life, etc etc
